The Palcoyo Rainbow Mountain, located at approximately 4,900 m.a.s.l., is ideal for enjoying Andean landscapes full of reddish tones and colorful stripes, on a quieter route with a short hike suitable for different fitness levels. Tour Itinerary
Cusco - Palcoyo Rainbow Mountain
We will start with pick-up from your hotel in Cusco at approximately 4:30 a.m. Our tourist transportation will head south of the region.
During the trip, you will be able to observe Andean landscapes and local fauna. After about a 1.5-hour drive, we will stop in the community of Cusipata to enjoy breakfast and get ready for the day.
Afterward, we will continue our journey until we reach the community of Palccoyo, located at 4,100 m.a.s.l., surrounded by impressive Andean landscapes.
We will begin a moderate hike of approximately 1 hour. The trail crosses wide and photogenic landscapes until reaching the colorful mountains. During the tour, you will be able to contemplate different mountain ranges and, if you wish, visit the stone forest on your own.
After the visit, we will return along the same path to the transport. On the way back, we will make a final stop to enjoy an Andean lunch. Finally, we will return to Cusco at approximately 5:00 p.m. and drop you off at Plaza Regocijo, right in the Historic Center, near your hotel.
