Tour Itinerary
Inca Trail - Machu Picchu
Pick-up is at approximately 4:00 a.m. from your hotel to head to Ollantaytambo, where we will board the train to kilometer 104 (about a 1-hour ride), the starting point of the hike.
From there, we will begin a hike of approximately 4 hours to Wiñay Wayna, an important Inca complex located at 2,680 m.a.s.l., considered one of the most attractive sections of the Inca Trail.
We then continue to Inti Punku (Sun Gate), at about 2,730 m.a.s.l., from where you get the first classic panoramic view of Machu Picchu (approx. 2,400 m.a.s.l.).
After some time here, we will continue hiking the last section to the viewpoint, where you get the classic panoramic photo of Machu Picchu.
Afterward, we will take a guided tour inside the Machu Picchu citadel, lasting approximately 2 hours. During the tour, the guide will explain the most important and historical aspects of the site.
At the end of the visit, we will take the bus down to Aguas Calientes, where you will have free time for lunch. Then, you will be given your train ticket to return to the city of Cusco.
