Arrival in Cusco City and its surroundings
Day 01 | Cusco City Tour
With Suyarq Peru, we start with pick-up from your hotel in Cusco at two available times: 08:30 a.m. or 12:30 p.m. Then we begin the tour of the city’s main historical and archaeological attractions.
The first visit is the Cathedral, located in the emblematic Plaza de Armas of Cusco, the urban core since the times of the Inca Empire and transformed during colonial times into the civic and religious heart of the city.
The second visit is Qoricancha (Temple of the Sun), one of the most important spaces of the Inca legacy. We continue to Sacsayhuaman, famous for its enormous stone walls and panoramic views of Cusco. Then we visit Q’enqo, a ceremonial center with rock formations and carved passages.
The tour continues to Puka Pukara, an ancient control and surveillance structure, and ends at Tambomachay, known for its water fountains and channels. At the end, Suyarq Peru takes you back to the city, and the tour concludes in the Plaza de Armas of Cusco around 6:00 p.m.
